Bridge Expansion Joint Replacement

Full-depth joint replacement including breakout, anchorage repair, gland renewal and traffic staging, delivered without full lane closure.

Product introduction

Joint renewal removes the failed sealing element and damaged anchorage concrete, repairs the deck edge, and installs a new joint matched to the actual movement range of the structure. Works are staged to keep traffic flowing, often using rapid-set concrete for overnight completion.

Working principle

Most joint failures originate at the anchorage rather than in the gland, because repeated impact loading breaks the bond between the joint and the deck. Effective renewal therefore restores the anchorage zone as well as the wearing element, and resets the joint gap to the temperature-correct setting.
