Ethylene copolymer bitumen (ECB) waterstop with outstanding chemical resistance for aggressive groundwater, landfill and tunnel applications.
ECB waterstop is used where groundwater contains hydrocarbons, solvents or aggressive chemicals that would attack standard PVC. It combines the processability of a thermoplastic with the chemical resistance of bituminous compounds, and is heat welded on site.
The bitumen-modified copolymer resists swelling and extraction by hydrocarbons, so the seal keeps its mechanical properties in chemically aggressive service. Welded joints remain the critical detail and must be made with temperature-controlled hot-air welding and tested before concreting.
