Cork and nitrile rubber compound sheet is a compressible sealing material that withstands oil, fuel and moderate pressure. It is widely used for transformer and switchgear gaskets, pipe flange seals and machinery mounting pads where bolt load is limited.
Cork granules provide compressibility and recovery so the gasket flows into flange irregularities under low bolt load, while the NBR binder ensures the material does not swell or dissolve in contact with oil. The closed structure limits fluid migration through the gasket body.
